Gatsby Benchmarks

Ten years on from when they were first published, the Gatsby Benchmarks for good careers guidance are being implemented in over 4,700 schools and colleges across England.

A lot has changed in the past decade: technological advances, innovation in education and major shifts in the labour market. Now, the Gatsby Benchmarks have been updated to ensure the framework is fit for the future. The updates have been after two years of research and consultation.

Gatsby has launched a quick-read guide to the updated Gatsby Benchmarks. This new resource details each of the eight updated benchmarks, highlighting what鈥檚 new, what remains the same, and five key themes that underpin the changes. The Summary of Updates resource also includes a link to the full report.

What are the Gatsby Benchmarks?

The Gatsby Benchmarks were developed on behalf of the Gatsby Foundation by Sir John Holman. They define what world class careers provision in education looks like and provide a clear framework for organising the careers provision at your school or college.

The benchmarks are enshrined in statutory guidance and as a 铁牛视频 Leader, it is your responsibility to oversee the implementation of the benchmarks in your education setting.
